God knows I hate the thought of backing UW and Prince on the road. Truly I hate it. But I have to do it tonight, I don't have a choice. I literally do not have a choice.
Jeff Tedford's job status is distracting California's players and there is drama in the locker room. Last week California played like absolute jokes, crumbling in the Special Teams, committing horrible penalties, and allowing a pitiful Utah rushing offense to gain 188 yards on the ground. California has ZERO depth at LB. They started the season being forced to use reserve LBs and now even the reserves are banged up. Cal knows that they are not going to a bowl game this year, their Coach is on the hot seat, the fans are pissed off, and they really have little to play for which is what we saw last week in Utah. Now, just six days later, do you really expect that Tedford has righted the ship? The answer is no.
Washington is gunning for bowl eligibility and even though they've played atrocious on the road, I think they are hitting Cal at just the right moment. They won the last time they were in Berkeley (also covering ATS) and also covered ATS (and won SU) last year. Cal is 1-4 ATS at home this year.
Of course the huge X-Factor in Washington's favor is that Cal is without their leading WR. And when I say "leading" I mean LEADING WR. He has 737 yards receiving, the next WR has only 380! This is a huge loss for Cal.
Steve Sarkisian is 3-0 ATS vs California.
