    NCAA/NFL picks 2012
I'm a new member, ready to make some more money, been using this website since the beginning of the season to help in making picks/money. I decided I would join just to keep track of my picks! I bet really heavy on college football as I believe it is a little bit easier to cap and Saturday mornings are like Christmas to me. I do also bet NFL but usually put in like 2-3 parlays so I will be posting those as well. I will be posting my opinions a lot too so feel free to comment and give your insight also. Having a great winning season so far! Great group of people in these threads and wish everyone the best! Let's make some benjamins!!! (1U=$50)

The first game I'm already locked in on is the Texas at Texas Tech game. I have watched both these teams play and actually took Texas last week vs. Kansas at -18. I thought the longhorns would easily cover but instead they struggled both on offense and defense. The defense looked attrocious missing tackles and taking horrible angles at the ball in the secondary. They barely pulled off a win in the last few seconds! I don't think Texas will be able to stop a high powered offense in Tech and a much better defense. I like Texas Tech in this spot because they have the comfort of the home crowd, rebound game after Kstate, and they are bringing out some fresh under armour uni's, Ash is under the added pressure of McCoy taking his spot, and the Longhorns defense is soft as charmin. Texas is just struggling too much this season on both sides of the ball and I don't see them being able to keep up with Tech. I see Tech covering this one easily as long as the run game stays strong(which shouldn't be a problem against this 108th ranked run D) and by getting a few turnovers and capitalizing on them.

6.6U to win 6U Texas Tech -6.5 vs. Texas

    GL!

Definitely leaning LSU against Bama with the points at home. I will be in attendance for this game and even though I see Bama winning it's going to be a close game with LSU covering. We have been waiting for this game since the National Championship game in New Orleans last year. Mettenberger and the offense tend to play better at home and the offense of Bama will have a tough time against the LSU D-line and the roar of tiger stadium in the background. LSU has had a bye week to prepare for this weekend and with revenge on their minds I see it being a closer game than most people will think. Sure Bama has rolled over all of their opponents by multiple TD's but who have they played? Better yet they haven't faced a defense like LSU's all season. Also LSU's 22 game win streak at home will be on the line. People who are not from Louisiana do not understand the advantage in Death Valley at night. I hate when people talk about it like the media is just hyping everyone up about it. Death Valley at night is not a easy place to play at all. It is nearly deafening when your on the field down there! I know Bama is a great team but I feel like LSU is going to play one of the best games of the season in this one. The mad hatter WILL have some tricks up his sleeve!!

Thanks cbass and urban! to both of you! I have still not made a play on the LSU game as the line is moving a lot and I'm still watching it. I will probably only grab it if it gets to LSU +10< but other than that it's a no play for me. Still liking my leans for NFL should make those picks tomorrow. Good luck to everybody and let's wreck the books this weekend

Can't really do write ups since I have work tonight and when I get off pre-game for tomorrow begins so these are my two parlays for this weekend. Lots of chalk on the NFL one I realize this but I like all these teams to win.

              5 team parlay 1.3U to win 23U
              Atlanta Falcons -4
              Detroit Lions -4
              Chicago Bears -3
              Denver Broncos -3.5
              New Orleans Saints -3

              4 team parlay 1U to win 11U
              Texas Tech -6.5
              Louisiana Tech -31
              Pitt +17
              Denver Broncos -3.5

Best of luck to everyone this weekend as we smash the books!

Anybody have any thoughts on this Atlanta/Dallas game? If Detroit, Chicago, Denver, and Atlanta win I'm most definitely going to hedge since Texas Tech blew it yesterday and the Saints lost Sproles to hand surgery this week. Just a little worried since the dirty birds usually don't play as well at home as they do on the road.

Hedged my parlay last night so I'm walking away this weekend positive. Texas Tech really let me down this weekend but at least I made money! New week begins today, Let's smash the books!

Hedge breakdown: bet $665 Philadelphia Eagles ATS +3 (-120)....this way if the parlay hits or misses I walk away positive. Really hoping that the Saints win by 3, then my philly bet will cancel and my parlay will become a 4 teamer for $65.

                  Thread Total: +2.2U

Crushed the NFL this weekend (5-0), wish I would've hit Texas Tech and I would've let my parlay play out but I had to hedge it because I was down. At least I'm positive can't complain. Let's get at it again this week boyyyee!

Not feeling the college card this week too much so I'm sticking to the NFL. I'm doing one parlay and probably two or three more teaser parlays. Already locked my parlay in today

                      3 team parlay 1.1U to win 6.6U
                      New England Patriots -11
                      San Francisco 49ers -11
                      Miami Dolphins -6

the teams I am thinking about using for my 7 pt. teasers are Patriots, Giants, Buccaneers, Broncos, Dolphins, Seahawks, Cowboys, 49ers, Steelers, and Oregon Ducks. I should have those posted tomorrow afternoon. GL to everyone this week !
