contrary to my last post the more i look at it i am starting to lean toward NT. i'll have to check into it more tomorrow. also looking to see what happens in the giants/cards mlb game. if i hit maybe i'll lay that on this game. not a real strong feeling either way, just looking for action like a typical degen.Comment -

UNT allowed Charles Sims (UH Running Back) to rush for over 200+ yards. From what I've read on paper, this ULL team is known for a good rushing attack. Plus with there starting QB injured and Terrance Broadway (Former UH QB and a Rivals 4 Star out of HS) is now taking the reigns, I see ULL rushing the ball 70% of the time. By the way, Broadway is also a dual threat QB.
From what I remember of Broadway is he does not have a great arm and folds under pressure. If ULL keeps the ball on the ground and limits the turnovers, I see ULL running away with this game with ease. If you also check the Mean Green football forum prediction thread, most of their alumnus is also leaning towards ULL to beat them soundly. It may not say much, but when homers are leaning towards the other direction, that at least tells me that this UNT team is not very good at all.Comment -

North Texas played on the road against LSU, Kansas State, and Houston. They put up 14 against LSU and 28 against K-State and only lost by 7 on the road against K-State. I know those are all losses, but this North Texas team has played much tougher competition and played in much tougher environments than ULL. This is obviously a really shitty game to watch and I"m sure the home field advantage won't be anything to overwhelming, but North Texas has seen some top notch programs and played pretty well. I like NT. They played a pretty tough game against LSU. Score doesn't necessarily show it, but when you watched the game you could see the fight. It's a shit game to bet on, but why not take the home dog, especially when they've been playing such good teams and putting up points.

I've got ULL-3.5. I just think that with the combination of their running game and their mobile QB that will be too much for the Mean Green to handle. UNT allowed FAU to run for >150 yards, and FAU is the worst offensive team in the FBS. This game will probably come down to which defense can force the most turnovers. I've watched a couple of ULL games this year, and their defense really gets after it. They force nearly 3 TOs/game, and they turn those into points more often than not. I am of the personal opinion that, even though UNT has had tough competition, and they played LSU close (for a half) and K-State close (until the 3rd quarter), that is more indicative of those two teams playing down to UNT's level and overlooking them rather than UNT playing to those teams' levels (it was LSU's first game, and their first big test was the next week against Washington, and K-State had a game in Norman the next week).
The only way UNT wins this game (or covers, for that matter) is if their 3 RBs have a solid game and they control the clock and keep the Cajun offense on the sidelines. I, personally, don't really see that happening and see a 35-17 type of game.Comment -
