Iowa @ Michigan State

Iowa's offense is just bad. The only reason why they have any points on the board is thanks to a long kickoff return. While I don't expect there to be much scoring in the 2nd half, I only see Michigan State putting up points in this one. They were able to move the ball effectively right before the end of the 1st half, but did not attempt a fg due to a bonehead move by the QB running off the field instead of spiking the ball first. Look for Iowa's offense to continue to struggle (I don't think they got a single first down until the 2nd quarter if I'm not mistaken). Another added bonus is that MSU gets the ball first to start the 2nd half.

Texas @ Oklahoma

I feel like a whacko for even picking this game but I can't help it. Normally I would think that a team who is blowing out the other side would just call it quits, but this is no ordinary game. Oklahoma is absolutely dominating in all aspects of this game, except for 1 blocked XP. Texas is in for a world of pain in the 2nd half as this might go down as one of the biggest blowouts in the history of the rivalry. Looking for Oklahoma to keep firing away and making sure Texas never forgets this one.

Ok 2-1 today...not a bad start.

Western Michigan @ Ball State

Western Michigan has an 11 point lead even after losing the turnover battle in the first half. They also have 90 yards more total offense despite Ball State getting the ball first. With Western Michigan getting the ball 1st in the 2nd half and averaging over 7 1/2 yards per play, it is a gift that they get points in this one.

The Play: Western Michigan +3

Illinois@Michigan

This game involves two teams that pretty much just run the ball. Illinois is not built to come back in these types of games as they have pretty much no passing game. With both teams sticking primarily to the ground game, it's looking like a lot of clock is going to be chewed in this one. Looking for Michigan to pound out a victory on the ground while Illinois stays centered on their ground game as well.

The Play: Under 20 1/2

Oregon State @ BYU

Oregon State is having a lot of success in the air as they have 184 passing yards already in the 1st half. While almost averaging 8 yards/play on offense, I like Oregon State to win this but I'll take the 3 1/2 points.

Stanford @ ND

Neither of these teams have shown much offensive production thus far as the only TD scored as been on the defensive side. With Stanford holding onto a 7 point lead, I like their defense to keep playing strong and lead them to the win.

With the game being this big of a blowout already and with WV's lack of offensive production, I like the scoring to slow down.

By the way, I don't know what the hell happened to Western Michigan this half, and my Under pick with Michigan and Illinois looks in as bad of shape as it can get. Hopefully things turn around...Let's Go Teams!

Ok, pretty crappy day so far...3-3 Record thanks to Stanford choking, and a few other teams I wasn't too pleased with. Time to get on the plus side.

Air Force @ Wyoming

Wyoming has produced over 320 yards of offense and they get the ball first in the 2nd half. I am pretty happy to see that they are getting 5 points in the 2nd half on top of this.

South Carolina @ LSU

I realize that LSU has outgained South Carolina by over 100 yards, but I think South Carolina is doing exactly what they need to in order to win this game. They aren't giving up big chunks of yardage, and they are making LSU earn everything right now. When this happens, the offense is more likely to make a mistake as we saw with the long interception return. As it is, I think South Carolina wins this one, and they showed they can move the ball on their last drive before getting sacked to put them out of field goal range. A lot of things are falling in place for SC, and I think Spurrier will have his guys pumped in the 2nd half.

Ohio State @ Indiana

Indiana has done a nice job in this one, but Ohio State started to pull away as the half came to an end. There were 3 big strike plays of 59 yards, 60 yards, and a blocked punt which resulted in TDs. I think the 2nd half will be played more conservatively with longer drives which will result in fewer points put up on the board. Maybe I'm just old fashioned when it comes to scoring in the Big 10, but neither offense has really impressed me thus far.

Wow, I need to stop betting on these shitty schools. Interesting trend...

Example A: Western Michigan: Puts up 21 points 1st half. 2nd Half they get the ball first and only manage 3 points
Example B: Wyoming: Puts up 24 points in the 1st half. 2nd Half they get the ball first and only manage 3 points

I understand if these teams are going up against good defenses but I don't think I'll ever consider Ball State and Air Force to have great D's. Unreal

What a terrible day of picking. I obviously was a little out of control picking 11 games. That Indiana/Ohio State play was just dumb. Looks like it'll be a 4-7 day for me unless SC comes back and even then it'll be a losing day. Fuckin awful. Hope you guys came out a lot better than I did. I'm gonna go eat some ice cream and watch some porn and pretend this day never happened.
