Ha Ha, Acveves for Boston says not his fault they lost lol!
Boston (59-66) dropped seven games under .500 for the second time this season as closer Alfredo Aceves had his second worst outing of the year. He was one out away from finishing off a victory but ended up allowing five runs and six hits in one-plus inning.
"The problem is my location," he said. "It's not the reason we lost the game, though. There were like 25 runs scored. It's not like I pitched one pitch and that is why we lost the game."

Are u kidding me?? this guy for real?? Aceves should be released Bobby V should be shot! he says he copied Scioscia!!!

The Angels had taken a 12-11 lead by scoring three runs off Aceves in the ninth. Cody Ross homered to tie it in the bottom of the inning, and Boston manager Bobby Valentine stuck with the righty Aceves (2-8) when lefty Kendrys Morales led off the 10th. The decision backfired when Morales homered into the right-field seats.
"I did the same thing (Angels manager Mike) Scioscia did," Valentine said. "(Aceves) is the closer and gave up the lead. It was obviously the wrong decision."

Hmmmm, Pretty sure angels closer Frieri is 10 times better than Aceves!

Geez pretty bad when you have to copy another manage because you dont know how to manage in the first place

Aceves is horrible, but he didn't lose the game. There were so many bad plays. The Angels scored 7 runs with 2 outs in the 3rd. I believe they scored 6 after a 2-out error by the 3rd baseman on an easy ground ball. Not to mention the laziness of the right fielder which let Trout get in scoring position in the 9th.

Then managing left at least a run on the field, they had Podsednik try to steal 2nd and he was thrown out on a pitch out. He would have scored from 1st on a double anyway, no need to run into the 2nd out. Having Aceves pitch to Hunter with 2-outs and an open base for Hunter was dumb. Howie Kendrick had just struck out in the 7th.

He's to blame for that gopher ball to Wells for sure. Wells shouldn't even be in the majors. Served the guy a cookie with sprinkles on it.

Game was basically a box score for the Red Sox's season.

ya Wells when he was with Toront was like an Auto out for a while. Still man, all Aceves had to was let up 1 run thats it, they woulda won. Alot of mistakes everywhere, but Aceves jut killed it. Hey didnt andrew Bailey used to be the closer for A's not to long ago? he should take over the closer pot

I really am not sure why Bailey isn't closing. He came off injury, rehab appearances and is obviously good enough to pitch innings. For some reason he hasn't taken over the closer role though. Season is a lost cause, not sure why they don't put Aceves out of his misery. Guy throws 93 MPH cheese puffs all day.

Yeah, I was only on them for a unit @ plus $. Just frustrating to watch them blow a lead, grab the lead, blow the lead, etc. The Pats 1H should replenish my loss and then some. New Englanders will finally have a good team to root for haha

Haha I'm not a New Englander, or fans of any of their teams really. Just looking for the Pats to swell up my bank roll. Tommy B has weapons galore and this team should kill the books again. They had one of the worst defenses and still covered on the road ATS 5-2-1 last year. That was with an absolutely dreadful defense as well.

I like Pats as well took them at -7 -110, Diego +3 +115, Falcons -4 +113. This will be the final games before the reg season starts where the teams will play starters for the majority and the cream should rise to the top! Just look at Balty, Titans, Packers last night. Let's cash these boys!
