PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The World Series won't resume until Wednesday night at the earliest.
With rain still falling in Philadelphia, Major League Baseball decided not to attempt to complete Game 5 on Tuesday night.
The game, played in increasingly heavy rain, was suspended Monday following a 30-minute delay with the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays tied 2-2 after 51/2 innings. It was the first time a World Series game wasn't played to completion on the same day.
