-Won nine games in a row over the Pirates
-SP Joe Blanton is 14-7 with a 2.87 ERA in 37 August starts, his best month of his career


Pittsburgh Pirates
-The Pirates have lost six of their last seven games
-Produced a 25-14 record in day games (13-7 at home)
-Held to nine runs offensively by Dodgers starting pitchers in six games this year
-SP A.J. Burnett has posted a 4-2 record and 2.58 ERA in six starts since the All-Star break
