Holy $hit! Mondays trends hit so hard its unbelievable!
It's something I pay attention too but I don't cap strictly based on trends but today made me realize something and that's... I need to start paying attention a little harder. I'll give a unit to every trend that hit and deduct one if it missed.

    Yankees vs. Rangers
*Texas 0-5 on road vs. NY.
*Over has hit in 5-7 in their last 7 games
    Tex 2 NY 8
    +2 units

    LAD vs. Pitt
*LAD 4-1 on road vs Pitt
    *Over 5-6
    LAD 5 Pitt 4
    +2 units

    Tor vs CHW
*Tor 15-3 in last 18 vs. Chw @ home
    *Over 4-6
    Tor 3 CHW2
    Even

    Miami vs Philly
*Philly 0-5 in last 5 games in Mia
    Philly 4 Miami 0
    -1 unit

    SD vs. Az
    *12-18 games gonende
    +1 unit

    Houston vs. Cubs
    *Houston 1-8 vs Cubs
    * Unders hit 5-5 in Cubs last 5 games
Hou 1 Cubs 7 (I played under here and missed by .5) unreal
    Even

    Det vs. Twins
*Det 5-2 last 7 against Twins
    Det 3 Minn 9
    -1 unit

    LAA vs Cle
*Laa 4-1 at home vs Cle
    -1 unit
    LAA 2 Cle 6

    TB vs Sea
*16-22 have gone under in TB games
    *Sea 2-9 vs TB
    TB 4 Sea 1
    +2 units

    SF vs. Wash
*SF 1-4 last 5 playing Wash
    SF 2 Wash 14
    +1unit

    Mil vs Col
    * Mil 5-15 in last 20 in Colorado
    Mil 6 Col 9
    +1 unit

So that would be a six unit increase for the day. One of those that missed was a obvious one to stay away from. CHW was not gonna go over. I was just kind of surprised how these trends hit so hard today. I'll be looking at these a little harder now.

Tread carefully here. Vegas knows these and other trends and adjusts accordingly. I've capped plenty of games in which trends helped; and I've capped plenty of games in which the trends pointed towards a certain outcome and the EXACT opposite took place.

The take-home message is to incorporate trends in your final decision to play or pass; but there must be other variables factored in. And, of course, you need to know that being on the right side is never a guarantee.

eBettalent, I have a couple good sources but I like to use sportsbettingstats.com. They have the lowdown on EVERYTHING.

EV, I hear what you're saying and I totally agree. I would never place a bet on a trend alone but they're something to consider when making a decision. I think the Mil/Col trend surprised me the most. I thought Fiers was gonna go in and handle buisness but apparently Colorado has the Brew Crews number.

Trends are Great if you bet them since they started trending, just because something is 16-5 for example does t mean diddly and like someone else said, Vegas has accounted for it

I'm not saying I bet them but I do consider them when I'm placing a bet. What made me start paying attention to them a little more was the Pirates/SD series.
