Gio Gonzalez has bounced back from losing very well this year.. He dropped games to the Braves and Mets and both times in the very next week dominated them on the road. Although today the Nats are at home, I do not believe it to be any different. The Washington Nationals come in after a great performance vs Cole Hamels in a must have game to avoid being swept. The Marlins come in playing as bad of baseball as any team in the league right now. Gonzalez is from Miami was beat by his hometown squad last month in what could have been the best game he's pitched all season in a 2-1 loss. His teammates new how bad he wanted to win in his hometown for the first time and couldn't give him enough run support to make it happen. That changes today. Johnson comes in with a 6-7 record 4.04 ERA which is not impressive by his standard. I think he will pitch fairly well today but Gonzalez will be too much for the Marlins lineup. Below is a graph of how they fair against Gio. Taking the Nationals here in what could be the biggest bet I have ever made...

I plan to bet - can't decide whether to place $1500 or $4000.

I also wonder what the effect will be given that this will be the second game of a double-header.

With the Nats winning game 1, this could be bad for us. Wish the Nats would lose game 1.
