man, that big contract came just at the wrong time...
it jinxed his outing last time.. now he's thinking about it.

wondering if you are jinxed is a self-fulfilling prophecy, thus...

..the Nats will get to him... early*

i know about his record, 5-0 in WAS... 17-4 in this situation... etc..
but there is a time to set aside records, history and previous performance.

i sincerely believe this is one of those occasions

i am with you. except for the use of the term 'lock'... lol
that term is the great "UN-Fulfilling Prophecy"
the instant it is employed.. the very*opposite happens.. *use with caution.

i only use 'lock' when i bet on sunrises, and wether rain will stop.

I agree there is a time and place for trends. And I'm not exactly in love with the Phillies tonight. However, I don't see Hamels doubting himself from his interviews. I inferred that he attributed his last game to the 144 mil extension.

"...Getting back to the normal routine and keeping my emotions in check, that would be more characteristic of what I'm used to."

I think there's an equal chance Hamels pitches well through the first five. And Detwiler isn't the strongest horse in the stable.

If the Nats can get an early lead, the Phillies may just might mail it in because they have no chance for any post season. Also, the Nats are very much in contention and they want to get to Hamels for the losses he has given them.

Overall, I want to take Nats ml but their bp gives me the shakes.

          BOL on your play.

bullpens are why i prefer just to look at 1st 5'ives.. i dislike bullpen capping..
'because you really don't know who might be put in...

i dislike the great unknowns in gambling.. MLB is hard enough, bullpens render one completely blind..

GL to you this eve.. sir, onward!
