    Awareness & Handicapping
    Handicapping: Where to begin

The sports gambler must also handicap himself.
When determining what amount to wager, the gambler asks himself:*

"how is he pitching?"…*what were his last three outings?"

…must he not then also ask himself:*

"how is my handicapping?"… "what were my last three?"

If a pitcher's 'accuracy' is the determining factor, so then must the 'capper's be also.
If he shuns a pitcher with a losing record, why not himself with the same?

Milwaukee likely upset about blowing 2 games late in Philly...
they should have won both, Philly did earn those however...
It would be interesting if the Phils catch fire... love to see that drama unfold..

•• WAS.(JACKSON not so good in two of last three starts..)

•• MIL Gallardo off last game, but i think returns to form...

    MILWAUKEE BREWERS*(–135)*vs. WAS.*•• 1st 5'ive …

i was completely off here, usually when missing a pick, it is a somewhat respectable loss... this was not.
I will look at all the information, and see if i can impartially come to a different conclusion
      about the outcome.

When the outcome is known, it is plain to see why and how things unfolded as they did.
I guess like watching game tape for athletes.. see and review their mistakes.. life needs more of that..
pity we can't have more playback in our personal lifes.. i expect we would all reach our objectives much sooner.

**As well, will take the picks to simulation (the 'minors' basically) .. until i can comfortably pick 3-4 winners in a row, best to simulate quietly and learn.. instead of going 'LIVE' and desperately craving a specific outcome. Those fits of madness are absent in simulation. Sedate observation and learning..

BoL to all today and this evening..*

lol.. indeed you were right Vegas... though i do feel like i was 'Half-Right'.. in that, the Cubs scored 6 Runs pretty early..
what i did not anticipate (and you did) was the Run output by the Cards.. (yikes/wtf)
              *
of course 'half-right' in gambling is a 100% Loss. (man, was i glad i sim'med that one) i would not have been pleased watching Wood give up Run after Run, and killing my wager!

That said.. Half-Right is better than "Completely Wrong" (last night). let's see if i can graduate back to 100% Right

so far, this evening i would go:

              Cleveland Indians *Josh Tomlin -R * (+115) * 1st 5'ive

              <and>

              Toronto Blue Jays *Carlos Villanueva -R (-125) * **1st 5'ive

if you do anything else.. GL
