Obviously they dug themselves a huge hole in the first half of the season, but they have championship caliber talent. They are currently 8.5 back in the wild card, but there is a ton of baseball left. I watch these guys a lot and they seriously believe they have another run in them. It's kind of like watching the Cetlics this year around mid-season, and there is no dominant team in the NL like the Miami Heat.

It's a long shot that they make the playoffs, but if they do they will be the team to beat. It's worth a unit or two.

Don't forget the MLB introduced a completely ridiculous rule this year, adding a single game between the #4 and #5 seeds. The Phillies only need to get to the #5 seed to make the playoffs. 22:1 is very good odds.

i threw 30 bucks on the brewers and phillies this morning as i woke up. i got phils at +10000 and brewers at +15000 from a local. definitely worth 30 bucks on either team at the moment as they are hot as can be currently.
