Why is Tampa a dog at home?

looking for someone with more knowledge than me in baseball. Tampa Bay is the best team in the American League. And the American League is always better than the National League. What am I missing

Oh and don't brainash yourselves into thinking the Rays are the better team just because the American League is better. The Phillies will win this series.
