Statistically Speaking - Rangers Worthy of Sunday's High Tariff
You're not going to get rich backing -180 road favorites in Major League Baseball wagering, but Sunday's situation between the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners is deserving of the price

-Texas is 27-6 as a road favorite of -150 to -200 since 2010
-The Rangers are 13-4 in their last 17 games after being shutout
-The Rangers are sixth in baseball with a .266 daytime batting average (Mariners are dead last at .200)
-SP Matt Harrison is 4-0 with a 1.26 ERA in six games (four starts) at Safeco Field, the second-lowest ERA for any pitcher that has made at least four starts at the venue
-Harrison is one of 10 pitchers ever to beat the Mariners in seven consecutive starts
-Seattle is 43-82 during the day since 2010
-The road team is 13-6 in Gary Cedestrom's 19 assignments behind home plate
-Harrison has won both of his career starts with Cedestrom behind the dish (16 IP, ER)

I don't think it's Texas pitching so much that people question. The true worry is laying that kind of juice with a team whose bats have been in a coma for the last month.

Can't argue with that - but the guy behind the plate may take care of that

      Rangers 20-7 with Cederstrom
Mariners 7-19 in the same situation

Now there is an interesting stat. I just hate laying crazy juice if the pitcher and his supporting offense have my confidence I would rather just go with the RL in spots to cut the juice. Or just look for a better bargain like Oakland who I took today at -107. They have been hot and undervalued almost all season and that price with a great pitcher going against the Twinkies was an a no brainer for me. Even if they lose at least I know the right play was made by me.

          Love the Rangers tonight.

Took the RL though, don't think this one will be close.
