I really cant blame the pen cuz the cards stranded so many runners it shouldnt even have been close. Even if Cards get out of the 10th i dont think rhey were gonna score any more runs no matter how long the game went.

cards offense has been straight shit for weeks now, furcal has went into "i think im a power hitter" mode, GM pressuring Matheny to keep sticking Greene's garbage ass at 2nd even tho dude doesnt even take good abs let alone get on base, with furcal swinging out of his shoes they have no one to set the table at the top of lineup. i would be wary of backing cards until a few things happen 1) Jay comes back (rehab assignment as of now) 2) when Jay comes back boot greene out of lineup and play shoemaker at 2nd 3) take furcal out of the leadoff spot or convince him to play like a leadoff hitter 4) put beltran back in 2 hole so there actually ppl on base for Holliday and Criag to have a chance to drive in...until these things happen stl will continue to struggle, they in for a world of hurt going to red hot kc over the weekend..

So I caught the replay of the game today...what a poor choice to pitch to Fielder with 2 outs and empty bases with Boesch up next.
