I am just getting this one in for tonight and short write up, watching euro 2012 The Reds are one of the hotter home teams in baseball, 9-4 in their last 13 at home though Bailey sometimes struggles at home (1-2, 5.67 ERA home numbers this year) but Smyly really has not looked sharp the last few games I have seen him pitch. He is 1-2 with an ERA of 6.75 over his last 5 starts.
You get a more seasoned veteran like Bailey who has only pitched for the Reds his entire career and has been a pretty solid starter the last 4 against a rookie on national tv on a team that is really struggling ( Tigers 4-8 in last 12). Trying to to get a read on stats in interleague play is almost impossible but its a national park and you got Votto who is killing the ball lately coming here on a 16 game hitting streak. Hopefully Bailey can work out any mechanics problems he had from his last start against Pittsburgh. Going small here, loathe interleague play.
