This play is as obvious as it gets. Yes I know Santana was given two extra days of rest but clearly he is in a letdown spot coming off the no-hitter and on top of that he threw a complete game shutout in the previous start as well.

Pitchers are very much creatures of habit. As great as his no-hitter was it will very likely negatively impact him at the very least in the short-run as his routine has now been thrown off and who even knows how his arm feels.

I am banking on a rough night for Johan. On a side note, I think the Mets bats get to Kuroda as well.

I actually think mets team total is a safer bet. Mets have been averaging 5 runs a game on the road and they get to play with an extra batter in the game (with the DH). Santana might be in a let down spot but he could easily pitch another shutout here. Kuroda's not really that good
