It seems like the majority of the time, the home team seems to win to avoid getting swept at home when they lose the first 2/3 games in a series. Is there any truth to this or is it just anecdotal evidence?

#2seems to happen all the time. i've seen kershaw, sabathia, and weaver lose games against astros, royals, and mariners simply because they were going for the sweep.

I'm talking about a team who wins 2 or 3 games on the road and going for the road sweep. It seems like the last game of that home sweep is so difficult.
Maybe it's in our minds though cause the Dodgers look like they're gonna sweep the PhilliesComment
