I know we had our back-and-forth in SteveNash's thread a few days ago. But you have to understand a few things regarding line movement.

It's neither the holy grail nor is it complete nonsense. It's knowing and appreciating the shades of gray that can make it helpful on a per-case basis.

Also, your extrapolation between the financial market and the sports betting market is flawed. First of all, knowing people in the family who are in the financial market isn't quite the same as actually being in it yourself. Secondly, there is an important disconnect that so many make. The disconnect is that there are similarities between the two but there are also differences. Why is it that the best in Vegas don't go to Wall Street and make a killing? Why is it that the best on Wall Street can't do squat at Vegas?

And another mistake you make is correlating how long someone has been on SBR with skill and experience.

I'm not going to lie. I don't see myself sharing a beer with you any time soon. However, I do empathize with anyone who is down to $5 and is reduced to parlays and reloads. Take this advice or not - I don't care. A less dogmatic mindset will probably do you some good.

If, 90 minutes from now they go to +109, don't be all "oh my God, oh my God, the line moved 8 cents, somebody knows something, I gotta get off the Astros now."

Long story short, unless it's a *monster* live move for no apparent reason, don't talk yourself out of a wager because a line moved 9 or 12 cents.

You like a side, bet the freaking side, don't over think every little minutia.

Been on about a week long cold streak, after profiting for majority of first two months, Ive now lost my profits and then some, this morning had $15.28 in my account and put out these 2 parlays....

more than line movement and bud smoking, look into bankroll management. you were profitable for two months and one week cold spell made you lose it all and then some? that's where your problem's at. and don't be so insecure and defensive about people think you are lazy for smoking weed or what not. no one said it but you. maybe it's you that think stoners are lazy.
