Here we go. I tried this a couple of years ago and got absolutely buried in a matter of a couple of weeks and didn't have the heart to try to climb back into the black. This year I've had a monster April (some of which was documented in detroittigerz thread) followed by a May in which I just treaded water. I'm hoping that was just a little bump in the road and good things will come in June and July.

At any rate, I'll try to post at least a few picks every day. I only cap sides so you won't find any totals here.

Athletics 4.0X @ +115 Hochevar's been pitching well and the Royals have been playing well altogether as of late, but Brandon McCarthy was hot before he hit the DL and I expect that to continue and give the A's at least an even chance against KC. Good luck.

Whats with the Reds?

As inconsistent as Bailey's been his whole career, Smyly's really been struggling that much more lately. The Tigers will be shorthanded without Peralta and Boesch available and with Avila and Dirks still out their offense really isn't any better than the Reds. I just can't find much of an angle that favors the Tigers in this game so I'm of the opinion that -125 is way more than a fair price to pay for Cincinnati.
