One of the best...don't discount what David Wright is doing though. Has the Mets in playoff contention when they should be cellar dwelling. Same with Matt Kemp...Dodgers surprising everyone largely in part to Kemp. Milwaukee has one guy who can hit and he's not carrying the team.

As a Brewers fan myself I know Braun is a great talent. It really is a shame the talent around him this season is poor. Losing Gamel at 1B for the season as well as Gonzalez at SS really depleted this team. Going from Gamel to Ishikawa and Gonzalez to a washed up Izturis is a big loss. The only plus about this team is they finally sent Conrad back down, he was terrible.

Don't let their record fool you at all. The Mets are terrible and will be in the cellar by the end of June for sure. This team will be lucky to win more than 74 games this year. They have a -32 negative run differential which usually indicates a losing record, not a winning record like they currently have. It will catch up though. This team is bad, David Wright excluded.

I listen to most of the Brewers game and you're right, the talent is very depleted this year. Weeks has been beyond horrible this year and Hart has been very average. On the bright side, Lucroy has been a great surprise. He definitely deserves all-star consideration.

Yeah, Weeks was an all star last year and is hitting .154. Aramis is hitting about .218. If those two heat up, look out. If it weren't for Braun and Lucroy and Greinke this team would be the worst in the NL.

Lucroy has been oustanding since we brought him up a couple years ago. I really think the Brewers have one of the best catching combos in baseball. This is typical Brewers though, start slow and usually turn it on later.

Assuming Weeks and Ramirez get going, which I would be lead to believe happens, this team will start winning some games and probably go on a 15-20 win month or something. Right now the team doesn't have the luxory of past years of relying on Fielder when Braun isn't hot and Ramirez hasn't quite filled in. Hopefully they got hot at the plate soon.

wright has been the best so far this season. guy has a OBP of over .500 with an insane walk rate and strikeout rate. of course the OBP will go down but that is still impressive after over 150 PA.

Don't forget Gallardo and Wolf who have been underachieving badly and Marcum who to this point has been very average. Loss of Fielder should not result from a 1st place team to a last place team (e.g. see STL)

Im not sure what is wrong with Gallardo, but I definitely agree on that front. Wolf pitched well after that first inning tonight. Marcum as stated has been average. The only consolation is that the season is only 1/4th through, plenty of time to make up ground in what is shaping up to be a weak, yet apparently similar, division.

Outside of Braun, Lucroy, and Greinke, this team looks terrible including the managing. Tonight was a perfect example. Why did Roenicke need to take Para out? He was pitching fine only to bring in a rookie who gives up a HR to a rookie. Honestly, I don't see this team competing. Hopefully they can get rid of Wolf by the trade deadline and get something for him

You really don't want to get me started on Roenicke. He should send Prince Fielder a fruit basket for helping him get his extension. Talk about someone being handed an extension for a team they inherited. Any coach could have put up a similar, if not better W/L last year as he "coached" them to.
