the thing is, the pirates hitters are so bad that they might not even be able to take advantage of the horrid bullpen. hopefully they can get a solid 7 innings out of Johan.

pirates hitters have struck out at least 12 times in the last 3 games....yikes

i see a lot of people saying they like the Mets today with Johan Santana pitching.

my question is this...

is it better to play the Mets for the 1st 5 innings and hope Johan does his thing,

or play them for the entire game???

i think either way is a good value today... but which is better?

the Mets arent exactly putting a steller lineup out there tonight.

Called up 1B, Davis and Murph not playing. Hairston is in the cleanup. Mets are a dog for a reason.

Johan finally gets run support and then blows a 4 run lead against the worst hitting team in the NL. 3 errors???? that last one that just scored the go ahead run for pittsburgh was ridiculous. what a joke

this is why the books give us the option to take 1st 5... we should take advantage of these situations
