$100 Bank for MLB 2012

Hi all,

Been following the forums for a while, but have not bet on MLB before. Seems like it is a sport where alot of dogs hit. I follow the sport, but never considered betting on it (I stick to NRL punting).

Gonna start off with $100 and see how I go (may chuck in a few other American sport bets too). Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah was suprised that it had odds of 1.90 considering the hitting form of Texas - something I didnt know?
Bit of a tough top of the 5th inning in the Tor/TB game... that 1B error was costly and opened the scoring up.

Thanks. Just feeling the sport out. Dont really have a tactic. Tried my hand at NBA, but it seems as though spreads in that sport are always determined in the last 3-5min of a game.

i have found it easier to make money off NBA to go by half's particularly the 2nd half. Like tonight for example OKC up 16 at half i put a unit on them and they were -.5 on them for the 3rd quarter and i put it on -4 for the half. Its the tale of two halfs and LA was gased tonight. A quick thing i did today was put the first half to the heat they are looking good for tmrw and i do not expect lebron to half a 6 point first half again. Nice MLB picks! I will keep looking at those picks

Hmm interesting logic betting halves. Too many times teams have shafted me in the 2nd half of games. NBA totals have also baffled me haha.

My current goal is just to get to $200 betting baseball and then branch out from there. Any tips would be appreciated!
