Lince is showing signs of life, with just 4 ER allowed in his last 18 IP (walk rate is still atrocious). We all know how erratic Billingsley can be. Are we getting a bargain with the Giants +111 here (down from +125)?

Ervin Santana has to win sometime. The Angels have been shut out in five straight starts of his -- a MLB record. I doubt Pavano keeps this streak alive. Ervin has 13 K's in his last 15 IP and just 5 ER allowed. At -136, you're getting a pretty good price on the better team/pitcher.

    Thoughts?

You take the Over in the LAA/MIN and hope Santana pitches like shit and does not return to old ways. Pavano will give up 6-7 runs most likely.

Santana has pitched fine, the team just has not won when he pitched.

Pitching well, and team wins are correlated independent events.

What the Angels offense did yesterday is what they have done in every Santana game this year.

Little known fact, Ervins birth name is Johan, but changed it up entering MLB b/c he did not want to be associated with the other Johan Santana. I love that fact, shows he is competitive.

Santana has had no help from the other eight players.
