The White Sox have decided to move Chris Sale into the closer's role. One of the worst decisions I've ever seen a manager make on his personnel. Kenny Williams wanted a "yes man" and he got a moron. So disappointed in the Sox today.

good move. his mechanics can't hold up as a starter. you can't throw sidearm and expect to pitch over 180 innings. he was already feeling elbow pain. they will get more value out of him this way.

So now ramp it up and throw 98-99 every 3 days? Makes sense...

There's no other option and there's precedence with Smoltz, etc., to go the bullpen, ride out some arm issues and return as a starter. What else can they do?

he will always have arm issues because of his pitching motion. go watch a video. it is crazy that he doesn't destroy his elbow after one throw the way he whips it around at that arm slot.

not to mention their alternative, thornton has 21 /47 saves/opps......thats just rediculous. good move by cws. they need a closer like sale.

What about Jesse Crain, who is just awesome. One of the main reasons that the Twins suck so much, is letting him go.

Better than DL-ing him for tired arm or risking injury due to over work...just my 2 cents

All of a sudden he's "hurt" when they need a closer. The situation is bs.
