    Thursday Postseason Value Plays
    I went 1-1 +0.22 units yesterday.

    Phillies +125
Pros: This is a super pick. I don't care how good Sabathia may be. How often do you get a good underdog at home in the postseason? Myers and the Phils pen can definitely keep them in the game. Hopefully, their offense can come through better than they did yesterday.

Cons: CC is on the mound for Mil.

    White Sox +165
Pros: I wouldn't stake my entire life on this pick, but it is certainly worth a shot. The Chi Sox have a better offense than TB and a comparable bullpen and defense. Vazquez is inconsistent so you never know if he will shut down the Rays. The Rays are also an inexperienced team.

Cons: The Rays are at home.

I love the phillies as an underdog. The phillies will score some runs off the weak brewer bullpen. Sabathia may contain the phillies offense but not their bullpen. Brett Meyers has some impressive stats against the brewers. Meyers is 4-1, 4 starts, aginst the brewers. Myers has pitched 2 complete games vs brewers. In 35.2 innings, Myers has allowed 22 hits, 7 runs, 4 hrs, 8 walks, 20 strikeouts against the brwers. Era is 1.77, 0.84 whip, .071 BA. His last start vs the brewers was even more impressive as the phillies won 6-1 on Sept 14 at Phily. Myers pitched a 2 hitter complete game. Myers is going to be rested while Sabathia may be tired. I think Myers will be able to go longer into the game than Sabathia. Phillies bullpen is much better than the brewers. I also think the phillies hitters will try to run up Sabathia's pitch count. I am also considering taking the phillies -1.5 on the alternative runline.

      Phillies +2.5 (-250) 250 to win 100
      Phillies +1.5 (-145) 145 to win 100
      Phillies ML (+120) 100 to win 120
      Phillies ALT -1.5 (+240) 50-120

If the phillies lose by one run, you would still win 50. If the phillies win by one run, you win 270. If they win by two or more runs, you would win 440.

Home dogs are always nice. But when you get a home dog that is actually good, then it's really nice.

Considering that CC won't pitch a CG, the Phillies are the play. Myers will match CC in this situation and he should go deeper into the game than CC. Knowing what is called "the Brewers' bullpen", a Phillies pick should be a no-brainer.
            Verdict: Phillies, Brewers/Phillies Under 7

The White Sox have little chance of a win tonight but anything is possible.
            Verdict: Rays

The Dodgers will repeat yesterday's feat again. Zambrano is the MOST OVERRATED pitcher in the history of baseball. He'll be hit hard tonight.
            Verdict: Dodgers, Dodgers/Cubs Over 8.5
