    zambrano vs billingsley
my guess is the line will be around -160 or so on cubs

if it is, im loving lad

    billingsley is better than zamby

dodgers are no worse than cubs
they have unreal confidence and i assure you that doubt is big in the minds of the cubs now

No way Zambrano loses. Do not let the Dodger's performance against the "dumpster" fool you. Zambrano is a stud, especially at home. Billingsley is also good, but the Cubs will not lose two at home.

Value is definitely on Billingsley though.

Zambrano is as over-hyped as they come. That no-no was against a sub par team. He has been terrible.

zambrano is the most overrated pitcher in baseball
he is good, but he isnt any better than billingsley
people , the cubs are built for a 162 game season, not a short series
            their pitchers are all soso

              Billingsley 16-10 ERA of 3.14 201 K's 80 BB's in 200.2 innings

Billingsley in his last 14 starts has given up 3 runs or less in 13 of them....went 12-3 in his last 15 decisions. Had an ERA of 3.41 in August and 3.24 in September.

              Zambrano 14-6 ERA of 3.91 130 K's 72 BB's in 188.2 innings

Zambrano in his last 15 starts gave up 3 runs or less in only 8 of them. went 6-5 in his last 11 decisions. Had an ERA of 7.43 in August and 7.08 in September.

I'm definitely taking the pitcher who's been consistant the past two months over the pitcher that hasn't been since July.

Just like I said before series started: the Dodgers have the pitching edge in the first two games and the series will go back to LA with the Dodgers up 2-0, at which point I will take my chances with my Dodgers +195 series bet.

                One down, one to go.

its hilarious how people always assume reg season records somehow carry over

all that matters is the dodgers with manny. what they did before him has no bearing

also, furcal back is ****ing huge
                    they may sweep.

Dodgers really have no pressure. They weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs until Manny rescued them. IMO, the Cubbies have all the pressure. They are the favorites after all, and their fans are just waiting to for that 100 year championship drought to end.

Dodgers hitterS have better success against Zambrano than Cubs hitters have against Billinglsey. The cubs are not good as their best record in the NL. The dodgers are a better team than their record indicates.

Zambrano has a problem with anger. He like to argue too much with umpires little too much. If he does not get the benefit of the doubt on a borderline pitch, he becomes a cry baby. There is no soft spot in the dodger lineup except for the pitcher.

                                Hey all,

I have to believe Zambrano is just not over the tired arm issues that shut him down for a start in the last month of the regular season. His stats are struggling the last few starts.

Chad Billingsly's last road start did see 6 runs score in just 5 innings of work, and this will be the youngsters first taste of postseason action, so you can expect the butteflies to be fluttering for him.

I am thinking OVER in this one....??

and dont look back ....they have no pressure on them at all

Zambrano is the Cub's stopper. I have witnessed him pick up the team many times before. No way the Cubs drop two straight at home. While I think there is value in Billingsley, I think Cubs take this game. But the series seems anyone's at this point.

Have Dodgers at +850, I think they will lose this game, then finish off the Cubs at home.

Zombrano is hurt and was bombed his last two starts, while Billingsley is extremely underrated IMO. I love LA here.

Dodgers finally have a lineup that intimidates opposing pitchers. You can't pitch arround anyone in that lineup. Zambrano has a tired arm. Just take a look at his last two starts against the cardinals and the mets (13 runs in 6.1 innings). After his grandmother passed away, Zambrano had 12 days between starts and than he pitched a no hitter against the astros. Zambrano had 7 straight quality starts from June 12th to AUgust 3rd. In the last 8 starts of 2008 (Aug 9th to Sept 24), Zambrano has allowed 5 or more runs in 5 of those 8 games. In those 8 starts (37.2 innings), Zambrano has allowed 37 runs for an era of almost 9.00. Other stats: 8 homeruns, 42 hits, 32 strikeouts, 25 walks. Zambrano's WHIP is up to 1.50 which is not a good sign. If it had not been for his no hitter, which was after 12 days off, his era wouuld have been over 10. This doder lineup is way more potent than the cardinals lineup. Dodgers are going to put out the knockout punch on Zambrano and the cursed cubs. I cant wait til Manny faces Zambrano and how far he hits a homerun.
