I know. Yet all morning, all I heard here was "yes they can, look at the stats."

I never thought I'd say this, but thankfully, Lilly left the game.

No Coin, you're smarter than this. Guys in their late 30's don't give a shit about spring training or their numbers. If they want to work on a pitch they'll throw it 15 straight times in the same location if they feel like it.
Lilly is solid. Very underrated and was a great signing by the Cubs years back.

Lilly has runs like this all the time. I won a high priced fantasy league one time because he had this run during the fantasy playoffs.

"Lilly" and "solid" don't belong in the same sentence. "Lilly" and "mediocre" do.
4.11 career ERA. He's lucky he's out of the AL (career 4.52 there). Definition of average.

You not a lifetime baseball fan? A lefty is like a fine wine... look at his career since 2009.
From 2009 to now, he is probably one of the few guys that has 90 or so starts and has an ERA below 3.6 in those 90 starts.
Similar argument... look at Wandy Rodriguez... a lefty's prime seems to be a few year's after everyone else's... Wandy is probably a top 20 starter in baseball these days.

I still think their numbers are severely NL biased. Lilly has gotten "better" in the twilight of his career -- craftier I guess you would say -- but pitching at C-R, Petco and AT&T all the time doesn't exactly hurt.
A 0.90 ERA in three starts? Come on.

That won't continue, but I do think he'll post a 2009 like season like he did with the Cubs which will help the Dodgers win the NL West as long as Billingsly continues to pitch well.

That's a big "if."
I'm not a believer in Guerra either, and Jansen's not ready to close. Their 1-2 hitters are weak, too.

They will be able to acquire a couple of key pieces at the deadline.

your bugging out no coin. Lilly is one of the most underrated players in baseball. His stuff has been very good for a long time even at this point in his carrer. Not sure where this came from or the validity of this thread

Yet you seem to visit them all and offer your two cents, saying the same thing over and over again.

No way I could visit all of them, you have most likely started 3 more by the time I have read the first. I don't mind reading some of them though, it certainly helps me make my mind up if I know your on the opposite side.

I wonder what a pitcher has to do in the MLB to earn respect. Apparently not get three straight quality starts and an ERA under 1... Sorry Lilly...guess you still suck.
