    Stat Question...Please help answer
Is there a stat that calculates how many runs a team generates per hit?? I see it all the time where teams get 8,9....13 hits in a game, but only score 3,4 or so
runs. Curious if there is anyone, anywhere calculating a run per hit for each team stat. I'm solely talking about as a team...not each individual player. Thanks for your help.

Go to a teams stat page and calculate their total runs and divide by their total hits

That type of stat is useless, you over thinking stats and past events have no bearing on the present or future

I am tracking it this year in a spreadsheet. Hopefully I can find use for the info but it's pretty sporadic. A team occasionally will get 10 runs on 10 hits and it skews the averages a little.

I would assume the data you're looking for correlates pretty well (all things considered) with ISO or SLG %. just a thought

its not a useless stat at all.... I run my system using a stat like that (similar, but not exactly runs per hit) to see how a team is generating runs. So far I'm 30-14 on the ML and 22-12-2 on the RL (I push sometimes because I take the +/-1 sometimes). Pretty good for a stat that is "useless" lol

May be useful in some cases but also need to consider runners left on/grounding into double plays i'd think. You use those too gambler?

Those things are implied and don't need special consideration
