FADING THE CUBS AT WRIGLEY ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON: Version 2012
This trend has been very profitable for several years now.

I don't have the exact numbers, but believe me, it's been a cash cow.

The first play of the 2012 season is the Cincinnati Reds.

Let's hope this train keeps on rolling!

Best of Luck and Cheers to you all!

I would do it except for one thing.......Homer Bailey. I dont think this dude should be in the big leagues. He could easily give up a 4 spot in the 1st inning the way he did in his first outing.

          I seriously love the concept...
          homer bailey pitches lights out,
and the reds bats crack! see you at the window.
good luck, sir. 2012 fade thread in full effect.

Seems like some people are unaware of this trend. It sounds stupid but it's real.

Guys its Chris Volstad who lives right down the road from me here in florida. He gets the ball up and pitches from behind a lot. He always has one bad inning early.

But he will keep them in the game. Reds bullpen executes and Cubs pen will fail. Take Homer for a small play

Flush ALL trends down the toilet when you have Homer Bailey pitching....even washed up Soriano might get three hits off him tomorrow.

If the trend parameters are (Cubs, Home, Friday, day game)

                  Since 2004: 54-49, -13.99 (+8.19 on the fade)
                  2011: 7-6, +.26 (-.96 on the fade)

Is that everything in the trend, "fade the Cubs at Home on Friday afternoon"?

Ricketts made a bad investment when he bought the Scrubs, will take years to turn franchise around.
Dusty Baker and the REDS today!

So you would be up 8.19 units fading them at home on a Friday since 04?

If the parameters I stated above are correct and nothing else is involved in the trend, then yes.

I completely forgot to post the Friday, May 18th game for this thread.

As we all know, the Chicago White Sox beat the Cubs 3-2 at Wrigley that day.

As a result, the trend is 2-1 so far this year.

The Cubs played one of the five worst games I've seen from an MLB team this year on Friday.

Fading the 2015 scrubs is a trickier proposition than past seasons, but fading the Cubs at home on Friday afternoon is still +EV betting. Weather, pitching, situational angles, and batting order should be considered- and read the line!
