Is it safe to assume that if a pitcher has a .500 opp BA, and he faces someone hitting .300, that the player should (key word SHOULD) hit .400 against him? Same goes for a team scoring 10 runs a game going up against a team who gives up 2 runs a game. Would that team then be held to only 6 runs? I figure that teams/players will more than often meet in the middle of what one team gives up and what one team can score. Strong pitching doesn't own strong hitting and vice versa, I think they meet in the middle of what the pitcher allows and what the player can hit. Any thoughts on this logic?
