Might be the first big bet of the year for me. Can't tell if I like it this much or I'm just on tilt. Thoughts?
Also like Cleveland, Boston, San Diego and Baltimore.

Detroit @ home may be undervalued here. I would guess they should be @ least -125, no matter whose pitching.

I dont see how I could bet against Detroit @ home with that line-up. 17 more at bats on the year than Tampa, and 10 more hits. Absolutely rocked a good Sox starting staff - 7 HR in the 3 games facing a tough, young pitcher, but practically a rookie. Current Rays batters 3-23 vs. Porcello (I don't think is much of a stat to look at because there hasnt been enough stats). Rays are no joke but I can't bet against Tigers this early, yet....
I'm going with the tougher line up vs. an inexperienced pitcher. gluck.

That's kind of the point on why I like it so much. Seems like books are begging you take Detroit at a short home line -- kind of like being a -1 fave in basketball.
Love this Moore kid for Tampa. I know it's risky to say a rookie SP can solve Detroit's lineup at the moment, but I think he gets the job done. Porcello had a good spring, but he's still Porcello. Basically you have a No. 1 or 2 guy going against a No. 4.

I think the unknown will help Moore. This kid's got plus stuff in a big way. Tigers roughed up has-been Beckett and never-will-be Buchholz. Lester held his own against that lineup; not that Moore is Lester, but the stuff is similar.

I'm going to sleep on it. I'm sure I'll be able to get the Rays at a better price tomorrow morning anyway.

We all remember Matt Moore who dazzled in the playoffs last year, but he struggled with giving up the long ball in spring training after a delayed start due to injuries.

Matt Moore is filthy. +104 is good enough for me to play 1% bankroll wager. Porcello is a poor mans jason hammel

this might be the biggest mlb play of the year for me. i already have the rays +103 for 3 units. the thing that kills me was that this was +120 to open at some places. i think i might up it to rays ml +103 for 10x and rrl +155 to 4x

lol. ill be on the lookout - but I think detroit or pass. Doesnt seem too sketchy of a line to me, seeing as that the Rays had an outstanding opening weekend + a recent public favorite.

Locked in a small play w/ Moore on the mound. Looking for Tampa to sneak a win here to open this series. Either way, it should be a good series and perhaps an early peak at a possible playoff matchup.

Yup. Shows how much early money was on Tampa.

It's bounced back to +104 now at 5Dimes. I can see it getting to maybe +110 at some of the recreational shops.

I'm taking the Over 8.5.. I was definitely leaning to TB, but my friend told me Matt Moore always struggles in April, and he wasn't spectacular this spring.

Tigers kill more lefties than not but Moore will have some advantage since Tigers haven't seen him.... Seems like Rays FF might be better because Tigers could get to Moore and/or bullpen later in the game. Porcello should hold his own against that mediocre Rays line up but I guess thats the biggest question for me in this game. Which Porcello shows up? I lean under but not sure if I will play it.

Alright, I'm hooked. Rays it is. Loved the under, but when a powerhouse team is not laying anything @ home go the other way.

You were right about the line not getting better. I figured at the very least I'd get a +105 at SIA or Bodog.

Never seen u back the Spartans, Wolverines, Redwings, Lions, or even Tigers...
Not saying traitor, more like anti-Detroit more than anything.
Same for Lb, always bets against all Detroit teams lol, especially Redwings.
GL nonetheless on the play.

have not bet on a wings game in ages. faded them in playoffs the last two years though- worked out pretty good.
as for the tigers i think they have a damn good team this year. you are right i bet against more than for them- it burned me v the yanks but the rangers paid off nicely in round 2.
i think tb is the easiest play of the day today- thats probably why it loses.
