    White Socks ML +170
Not quite sure if I'm going to make a wager on this, but there is some legitimate value on the Socks this afternoon. Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton and Elvis Andrus are all expected to play today but none of them are 100%. Cruz is dealing with a bruised wrist, Hamilton is dealing with tightness in his groin and Andrus is dealing with a hip injury. With all that being said I think this could be John Danks turn around season. It all starts today for him and if he manages to put together a decent outing and gives his chance a team then the White Socks bullpen is more than capable of coming in and relieving Danks.

Some nice value on the White Socks that's for sure but going to wait off to see if I could get a better price closer to the first pitch.

Good luck, but I honestly don't see any value what so ever at taking the Rangers -190. They should be more around -160 to -170.

I'm with ya on this one, D3. Danks's peripherals look a lot better than his ERA and colby lewis isn't a #3, let alone a #1. White sox have the pitching advantage. Yes, rangers have a big advantage on offense, but it's not as if it's as wide a margin as yankees to A's. If there is any rebound at all from the ChiSox this year, they'll be average to above average on O. 'Pens are probably the same, if not slightly in favor of the sox. Home field advantage is at MOST 25 cents. Line should be a lot closer to -140 than -180.

Wouldn't you want to wait until game 2 or 3 then? Rangers pitching will only get worse after today. Hard to think they'll lose the home opener.

White sox gave me a rough ride past season, they need to prove they can hit a baseball before i bet them again

5 out of 8 teams lost their home opener so far, so I'm not sure that angle is the best way to read a game. I'm not sure I completely understand the mentality of "they're going to try super hard this game, so let's just take it easy today and come out and try super hard tomorrow when they're not going to try cuz they already beat us." They're all professionals and I'm sure they hate to lose just as much as you did when you played ball as a kid.

That being said, I bet based on perceived value in the line. As I said, I see this game and think the line should be -140, not -180. So I'm taking my chance on the value in the line, rather than betting on the white sox to win a game.
