Damn.. I don't understand why you pick on baltimore ? How can you bet against team which loses 6 streak games, but was the best team in season year ago? They can't lose every game...

well, it certainly isn't looking good right now (Phils 7-3), but the 6-game losing streak would be a positive factor and last year isn't relevant. the problem was believing that Jake Arrieta would be able to handle the Phils. The Dodgers owned the Phils all week and Phils have been ice-cold driving in runners in scoring position. they sure weren't ice cold so far tonight.

apparently, that was correct. just not sure how to know when not to be against them, since fading them was gold during Dodger series. bottomline, the objective metrics i use in my model said to play it. they were wrong, at least so far. been happening a lot lately, but i blame it more on my judgment than the model.

Tribe runs and White Sox are essentially my top plays (i have 4u+ riding on each). do like Twins obviously and figured TT was a good way to play at plus money (Cubs horrific vs LHP, LaHair sitting, stiff wind in from RF). also like LAD/SEA under, may add that later. BOL to you today, pal.

Of course the Tribe would let you down. That is why I only fade or layoff them. I just can't back my team and take the double dagger when a bet and my team loses.

i'm 0-2 fading the Tribe this season. i don't know record when i back them, but it's probably positive. as a fellow Tribe fan, i think that the way to handle them is to play totals on their games, esp when weather is a consideration.
