FWIW ... Masterson has walked 10 in 8.2 in his last 2 starts. Looked unhittable in his 1st start and then has given up 21H over his last 13.2 inn over 3 starts.

oh, don't i know it. fortunately, he has a pretty good history vs Angels (and Weaver has very good history vs Tribe). Masterson really struggles with an ump with a small zone. if we get Holbrook, we're fkd. however, B Welke, Kellogg, Gibson, Darling and Kulpa are all under-leaning umps who are up tonight, so i like our odds.

true story. yeah, i don't know how much weight to afford line movement in bases. there are so many factors that it could cause it (weather, late lineup/injury news, ump assignments becoming available to the public) that you can't fairly attribute it to smart money getting involved. seems that i use it more to justify passing that to justify playing, which is probably a good thing.

FYI, i edited the price on Yanks -1 above. i originally did the math too quickly since i had to enter it manually (5D didn't offer the easy Yanks -1 where they do the work for you). correct price is +171 not +168, not that it matters a ton.

Biff, when u have time, could you share exactly how you fashioned that special (dog-1) reverse RL, specifically the NYY-1 (presumably you used the basic reverse RL, NYY-1.5 and the NYY ml...in the right mix)...

if it's too much of a drag, you could just link to a page that explains it...i know i've seen this kind of thing (and even a handy calculator for it)...but just can't find anything on it now...

yes. the rule is that you want your ML to win amount to equal your RL risk amount

basically, i believe that it was +111 ML and +225 RL when i played it. i laid a little over .9u (to win 1u) on the ML and 1u on the +225 RL (1.9u:3.25u) , which ended up being equivalent to about +171. when the Yanks won 6-5, my ML winner paid for my RL loser on the -1. hope this explains. BOL to you too.

yea all been good..Ive been so busy w work this spring that i really havnt had time to follow closely enough to give any solid opinion on anything but Cards gms, hopefully i start having a little more time and can get caught up (only betting stl gms while profitable isnt really curing the itch!)..
