Braves (Hanson) -106 vs Mets (Santana)
What am I missing here? Last time I checked the Mets were horrible and are now without Reyes in the lineup. Tommy Hanson is a young stud and facing Santana- coming off injury- who hasn't pitched in the big leagues since Sept. 2010

Braves seem like the great value play here at almost even money. Thoughts?

I'm not understanding that either, at all, almost to the point it has me worried. When I was looking forward a week ago at potential picks the first day of gameS I thought for sure Braves would be in the -130 range, but to have them at -106 and the Mets at -104 last I checked I don't know what I'm missing.

It does have that feel of the line is so low that something may be up? I was thinking the same thing... They like Santana to come out and shut em down?? I can't figure it out

Mets are 32-10 in their last 42 season openers, that probably played a part in the number. I'll be picking other spots tomorrow, but Braves I think win this by several runs.

Except for the fact that Santana has had a great spring training and the Mets line-up isn't that bad. Reyes is gone but they still have wright and Davis in the middle of the line-up. Santana probably will only allow 2-3 runs at the most, Mets are at home, and the Mets don't usually lose on opening day.

Hmm interesting stat. But is that something that's gonna play a part in tomorrow's game?

shafer thinks so, oh and good spring training numbers too. Just ignore the fact they went 9-20.

                    Leanin' Bravos.
Mets overvalued bc of competitive play vs NYY.
                    Spring training is now over!
Reality sets in quickly, and the Mets struggle.

                      This is what I'm thinking.

I'm gonna bite on the Braves. Think the Mets are overvalued here and think Braves will win this one
