April Pitchers Good & Bad

Starting pitchers are creatures of habit, so generally, fast starters are almost always ready from the get-go and slow starters almost always need a few starts before finding their groove. With that in mind, here are some good and bad pitchers the last 3 Aprils (With April Record, ERA, WHIP).

GOOD
Jaime Garcia (5-1, 1.60, 1.07)
Jered Weaver (10-1, 1.95, 0.98)
Josh Johnson (7-1, 2.11, 0.96)
Dan Haren (9-5, 2.31, 0.88) (record should be better given good key numbers)
Rickey Romero (6-4, 2.44, 1.08) (Same comment as Haren)

BAD
Rick Porcello (4-7, 6.04, 1.58)
Ryan Dempster (4-5, 5.77, 1.41)
Mat Latos (1-6, 5.57, 1.40) (Could make good money here as Latos will be overvalued early)
Carl Pavano (5-7, 5.56, 1.32)
Scott Baker (3-7, 5.45, 1.43) (Twins could suck more than usual in April)

Two pitchers to bet against out of the gate

1...Takabathia slow starter usually doesnt kick in until game 5
2...Pelfrey on the Mets he needs a new location he has zero confidence and cant get anyone out
even the rooks are pounding him

I think my ball club is a straight fade all of April. They have a brutal stretch of the Angels, Rangers, Yankees, Rays, RedSox. The only chance they have is opening April with the Orioles and ending with the Royals. I'd be surprised if the Twins can pull out 7 wins in April.

I heard Bruce Chen, Royals pitcher, is having one of the worst spring training in the history of the sport. I know I will have to lay heavy juice to fade him, but a win is a win is a win.

Agreed with Hoff, Twins may have worst record in April. Not looking good. Baker already claiming he has some elbow soreness/ tenderness. Not looking good.
