      How small is this park?

And Seattle should feel as though this is a home game, since everyone will be chanting for Ichiro.

A lot of people don't realize that it starts tomorrow morning.

Bizarre decision by MLB. I can understand hoping to gain more traction in Japan, but your audience is in the US (and a large portion on the East Coast). You don't start the season at 6:10 AM EDT. Period.

If you want to start it in Japan, you make them accommodate so that it starts at a reasonable time here. Tokyo is 13 hours ahead of us, so tell them they have to play at 10 AM their time, which would be 9 PM Tuesday on the East Coast. That would make a hell of a lot more sense.

Yisman its not that big of deal...

No one in Japan is going to go to the game at 10am lol. Youre missing the bigger picture here.

uhh yeah, all Japanese baseball games start at around 5 am EST. Unless it's the weekend there's never any day games.

^ yes, if they're starting it primetime over there

my point is that the season opener should be shown at a time when Americans can see it

It's a strange start definetely. There will be played lots of preseason game after this game. Season Opener should be shown at a time when Americans can see it, it's America's National Past Time after all.

Still, nice to know we will be able to watch some baseball tomorrow. More baseball after 4 April

it would've made more sense to have this Japan trip be part of spring training

to count it as part of the regular season is rather absurd.

I think 90% of baseball fans really do not care that they will probably miss the opening game of Oakland vs Seattle...

No idea. I'll have to go look and see if there will be an expected stream of the game. AFAIK, the American networks don't seem to have it. Maybe Japanese TV?

It will be televised on ROOT TV, but that's obviously not national (seattle network)

MLB.tv has it, if you subscribe.

MLB network has it on delay, so that's useless.

Check out these idiots on mlb.com:

The official website of the Athletics with the most up-to-date information on news, tickets, schedule, stadium, roster, rumors, scores, and stats.

They list it on Japanese time!

right, but someone has to be streaming the game. There's no guarantee.

I'd say it's more likely than not though that there will be a streamtorrent stream going.
