Cappinterp, what do you think about the Pirates today?

Price is going very well indeed. Haren bothers me , as he does you. Going back to 2008, on the very rare occasions he has thrown fewer than 80 pitches (5, he is a beast) in his previous start he has given up two runs (or less) every time with 1.25 being the average. If you bump it up to <85 (9) he gives up 1.78 ave. in his next start, and those are total runs, not earned runs! He got rocked last start, making just 63 pitches, and there is always a first time, just a FYI.

The Pirates are a "short" until they win 2 in a row. I don't care who is pitching or playing(even Houston) they have bad karma and are playing tight. They may win today but for myself it's the other side or nothing............................gl

Hope I didn't queer you and the TB game Terp. Haren had a very unusual second clunker. I did put my money where my mouth was and played the under 7' which I dogged into despite myself. GL today.

Hey guys hope all is well out there. Just a heads up I will be taking some time off here. On Monday I am having an operation to repair an uncommon lumbar hernia. Got a very good surgeon so all should go well...........best of luck to all.!!

Hey guys hope all is well out there.!! Had my surgery and everything is fine but that recovery is a bitch and very painful. Try to stay healthy out here guys, I know many are rolling their eyes now but when you are young you are immortal and reckless.! ( I was once that way also) Just trying to say life is short and shit happens. Of course give me another 2 weeks and I will be back smoking a pack a day Camel non-filters,drinking 10 cups of coffee and taking too many opiates everyday. Just trying to pass along some food for thought.
Back to biz. went 1-1 on 8/19 for -4.08 units.

Glad you are back CT. I like your post, I think I was pretty saying the same thing to a bunch of fraternity guys a few days ago. Ha Ha, we live and then we learn not the other way around in a lot of cases. But it has been a fun ride so far, so here is to hoping to stay on the fun ride and not slow down too much.

MIA. +115 2 UNITS - Nats are in the unfamiliar place of leading their division this late in the season. Can they handle the pressure? They have lost 5 in a row scoring a total of just 6 runs with a team BA of .212.! Detwiller has pitched well vs the Fish but has shown problems with his breaking ball lately. This coming from a guy who does not have much of a repertoire to begin with.Detwiller has an ERA that 1.00 + higher on the road and at night. The Nats have never seen Turner which is a positive esp. since they are not hitting. The Fish are 6-2 at home vs the Nat's this year..............................gl
