How Does Giraldi No Get Fired?
What a disgrace of a manager, just sits there every game like a log, no fire and it shows with players.

Yankees need a hole new team and that means not resigning, Jeter, trying to trade A-Rod and the rest of the losers they have.

I've seen Girardi make some horrendous managerial moves throughout the season. I've seen him allow the starting pitcher to get shellacked to make the game go from 3-1 or so to 8-1. Essentially sitting there, not making a move, and allowing the game to go from a winnable, close ball game to a blowout.

Then recently, I've seen him go out to the mound like it was going out of style, trying to hold onto a 1 run lead. 1 pitcher would retire a batter then he'd sub them out, then the next pitcher will come out and retire the next batter, then he'd go to Mariano to pitch 2 1/3 innings. I think this happened against the Jays in their last series. My point is that, let them pitch for awhile if they retired the batter in convincing fashion instead of going to Rivera for extended innings. The Yanks are trying to win many games to catch a playoff spot not just 1 game. Is it wise to use up Rivera like that just to win 1 game, when your set-up men were getting the job done? This wouldn't look as bad if he hadn't just sat there for the greater part of the season, not making any moves whatsoever allowing games to go from 3-1 to 8-1.

He's in over his head, clearly. I can easily be a better baseball manager than him. He has no strategic sense about baseball.

Well in Girardi's defense the bullpen would make it 8-1 anyway because the pen sucks. Kind of a no win situation for Girardi. Cashman should get fired the guy never gets any good pitchers. Where was he when Santana was up for grabs?

              I would've personally fired him.

He makes like 45 modifications to the lineup as if that solves anything.

The problem is Cashman. All those big salaries on the DL and the minors. And then theres AROD who hasnt gotten a big home run since high school! Hes still smiling all the time, doesnt even care anymore. Bet against these bums for the rest of the year! Starting tonight with the rookie pitcher. The vets wont have his back!

Too many leaders on one team poses a threat more than an asset.. It may work with the patriots, but not the yankees thats for sure..

No reason to fire him! His contract is up anyways!

How about every time he intentionally walks some one , the next guy crushes him!

He walks Murphy (the go-ahead run) then Molina hits a 3-run homer! Who the fukk walks a go-ahead run????

Then he walks Hamilton, and bamm, Double by Vladdy!

The manager didn't throw either of the two pitches that got the Yankees beat last night.

Hughes threw the hanging breaking ball that Vlad crushed into the gap for two runs.

Robertson threw the fastball right down Broadway that Cruz hit into the seats for two runs.

That made a 1-1 ballgame a 5-1 ballgame. Game over. Drive safely on the way home.

The ONLY think you can possinly blame Girardi for is going to Robertson and not going to Kerry Woods. The idiots screaming that CC should have been in the ballgame on one days rest to pitch to three straight right handed batters need to have their heads examined...

Whoever made this thread knows squat about baseball....Giraldi...

And all of these reactions by the rest of you are typical nonsensical, heat of the moment type of comments. A-rod needs to go? He is the best player in baseball not named Albert Pujols. And yea....A-Rod had some huge hits and HR's in the post season last year which got the Yankees a World Series title.

                              How quickly you forget....

No team can win the world series every year even if they buy the best nine hitters in baseball and put them out there every day. It's just not that easy. Yankees might win another one next year or in 2012....so you wait one or two more years....big whoop.

PS - Jeter is the face of the Yankees franchise....they will never let him sign with another team during free agency. That's like letting DiMaggio go cause he had one bad year. Jeter will be a Yankee on the field for another 2 years at least then probably have a front office job.
