There's definitely value. But you are trusting a rookie will very little track record to beat the probable AL CY Young winner. Lee will pitch 8 innings today. The Chi Sox are also not stellar on the road. GL.

This Richard kid held the hot O's bats to 3 runs in 7 innings. With their current offensive form, the Indians may not get more than 2 against this kid. If Lee leaves the mound with just a one-run lead, then the White Sox will take the game rather easily.
I also think after going 8-0 at home, Lee is due to go 8-1 rather than 9-0.
Plus, Lee may wait one more game to get his 20th win of the season. There's no need rushing to make such headlines. He may follow in the footsteps of Webb and delay his 20th win of the season.
Along with the Mariners, this is one of today's most probable upsets.

I am a Cleveland fan and homer. But, I will throw this out there.....ChiSox have a .634 winning % (26-15) against Lefthanded starters this year. ChiSox own us as they have won 9 of the last 10 meetings (including one where Lee took a ND). The Indians ALWAYS seem to make young starting pitchers they have never faced before seem like Cy Young. I always joke with my girlfriend when we face a young kid for the first time I am betting on the other team and they always seem to win. Anyway, just my 2 cents.....

You know, I am starting to like this play. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most pitchers struggle in their first opportunity of getting the their twentieth win of the season. Look at Brandon Webb last night. I'm pretty sure I have seen this trend in years past as well. Anyway, I think Cliff Lee could lose this one. He is certainly due and he will probably come to the same realization as Webb and may not trust his stuff.

I watch a lot of Indians games and have seen and heard many interviews with Lee. After all of what he went through last year, he is not going to let the fact he is going for win #20 bother him. He is a blue collar type of guy who just comes to the park every 5 days and throws strikes. Cy Young award possibilities and 20th. win chances slide off of his back. He is the consummate team guy. However, based on what I stated in my previous post the Chisox own lefties and us and I think the Sox are a good play. However, I never bet on or against the Tribe so no play for me.
