    TEX +158 (L)
    SDG +137 (W)

1-3 -2.53 units Risked 4.90 units to win 5.67 units

    Overall

Pair of 5s has hit a rough patch in the road. I am still remaining focused on my criteria with long term return in mind.

    Your thoughts are most appreciated.

    Contrarian String Play Selection

Today is the second part of the contrarian string play with CC Sabathia. We stated prior to his last outing, that CC would have to win 3 starts in a row in order to yield a profit for the three games. We almost prevailed in game 1 of the string play but PIT could not close it out, in a twelve inning marathon.

Sabathia is -250. The contrarian selection is the don'ts on CC.

    PIT +230

      Radar Screen

CWS goes on the Sunday radar, along with Hurricane Gustav. Contrarian indicators are present with line confirmation established. If this is a play, we would be pairing up the CC string play with CWS resulting in the double dog contrarian selection. One win would yield profit.

Stay tuned to the thread as gametime approaches.

          Selection II

CWS gets the nod as the second pick of the day, making it a CC and CWS straight wager play (all my wagers are straights). A split creates a profitable day and as a result of yesterday's bleeding, the upswing in the units tabulation can continue.

              It's Official

The Don't CC contrarian string play was unsuccessful for today. However, CC will have to come thru on his next start to wheel a profit on his last three starts. Do you think, he knows about this play? Probably not.

Nontheless, CWS was able to pull it out over BOS to split the double dog contrarian play thus a profit, making 16.5% on your money.

              PIT -230 (L)
              CWS +133 (W)

Units go to the bank and for the most part, the bleeding has stopped.

Why do you have your CWS play marked as a (L) loss?
