the chisox are basically quentin and dye and thats it
they are a team who either hits homers, or loses
thats it
they are overrated
the mets however, are showing a lot of heart, suprisingly

The Twins have a majority of their remaining games on the road. Is that the case with the Chi Sox?

they both have the same number of remaining road games and they both have the same road record
if minne wins today they have a better road record and an easier remaining schedule
it is a misnomer that the chisox are any better on the road than the twinkies
the only team thats any good on the road in the al is the angels
everyone else is belowe 500 i believe
twins are better than the chisox
every year but 2005

The Yanks used to be over .500 on the road. We can't extrapolate on both of their seasons based on current road records. I just don't think the Twins are that great offensively. Their small ball strategy is smart and efficient, but it won't score the runs in the clutch like the homer will. It's kinda weird how the White Sox-Twins rivalry is also a battle of small ball vs homers.

small ball wont score in the clutch but homers will?
i would tend to disagree with that
speed kills
get a bunt or a single, steal second and go from there
you can score every time if you get gomez or span or casilla on with n o outs in front of mauer, morneau, kubel and delmon young
for some reason you are forgetting the speed they have, the fact that they create more runs than anyone in the al without homers.
homers come and go, speed does not
the twins have remained in the top 10 in offense all year, you should watch them play, they are fun man!
there is no team who plays better team ball, better fundamentals, and gets more out of less
they have 5 young starters and they pitch well just about every time out
they are the epitomy of team
its great tosee
they are basically the oppo-yanks

What I meant about the homers was that the Chi Sox can draw walks a lot more than the Twins. To me, I see a lot of the Twin's players as young and inexperienced. Carlos Gomez is an extremely talented player who seems to swing at first pitches instead of working counts as the power hitting (and feared) chi sox do. The only guys who play that kind of ball on the Twins are Mauer, Morneau, and Delmon Young since they are the only guys who are truly above average hitters. I realize you are probably shaking your head as you are reading this. But deep down, you realize that those three I mentioned are the only ones you would want from that team up at the plate in the 9th inning when they are trailing by a run or two.

kubel is a stud
i agree on gomez
but span is legit also
casilla and gomez are young and raw
but you seem to discoutn kubel who will hit 20-25 hrs and span who walks alot too
the chisox arent good, they live and die by the homer
teams that do that dont win

I think you are exaggerating a little. But there is some truth to what you are saying. I believe the statistic was 40% of their runs come on the long ball. They also have some speed, like Cabrera and Alexei.
Btw, I don't think I like the Giants as a play tomorrow. Arroyo has been equally impressive recently and seems to have pretty good home numbers. Off the bat I like A's. The Pirates seem too good to be true.
