A disappointing night on the way the Marlins imploded, going into the ninth. However, let's put it in the books. If they are going to beat us that way, we will eventually prevail in the end.

Radar Screen

I woke up bright and early today to evaluate the early games, after a tough 1-2 last night, watching the Florida Implosions go down in defeat.

PIT gets another big look. They have played some real tough games, keeping it close, then finding a way to lose. From a contrarian point of view, the fans crucify the money angle by stating, "This team, just can't win. With the risk of being blasted later on today, PIT has a chance at home to pull this one out and potentially in a big way. When PIT puts it all together, they are tough. They took CC to the limit, on the road, and gave him a scare. The bigger question, can these kids pick themselves up after losing tough games.

Contrarian indicators point in the direction of Cubs pitching. The Cubs fan betting brigade is all in order, thus pouncing at the window. Today's line is on the fishy side in my opinion.

Collectively, I have selected PIT over the last couple of weeks, risking 5 units, to win 9.6, a clear big dog play, yielding a -2.77 units.

I am confident the contrarian play will cut into that result.

I'm looking at the Pirates as well. No Soto for the Cubs looks like a decent play, even though Duke sucks pretty bad. Actually think the play here is the OVER at 9.5

The contrarian indicators might be there for the Stros/Reds game tonight, but stay away guys. Josh Fogg is probably the worst pitcher in the bigs.

I must say Pair of 5s, your contrarian strategy seems to work well with these big dogs. Kingctb, I wouldn't waste my money on Colorado. Lincecum is lights out.
