    Friday Value Plays
    I went 0-1 -1.00 units yesterday.

    Royals +168
Pros: There's no reason the Tigers should be getting this kind of chalk on the road. Verlander is a decent pitcher this year. Brian Bannister may not be anything special, but he has good home numbers and is a pretty big dog. The Royals also seem to beat the Tigers. Take the better bullpen.

    Cons: The Royals blow.

    Dodgers +118
Pros: The Dodgers are a new team since the trade deadline. Maddux, their latest acquisition, will start against the Phillies who he has pitched well against this season. He is opposing Kyle Kendrick, who is awful. While his home numbers have been good, do not expect him to have success against the Dodgers. They hit him hard in his last start versus them. Maddux will also be looking to have a great first start for his new team.

Cons: The Phils are kinda due after dropping the first 4 games of the previous series versus the Dodgers.

ahh man, I'm loving the Royals pick too. I thought I was the only one that noticed this. I don't like the Dodgers series too much. Those 2 teams can go up and down on any given day. Too hard of a series to cap in my opinion.. Also, Bannister has faced the Yanks, bosox, whitsox and other heavy hitters in the past week. He hasn't feared well but I think he learned from pitching at those heavy hitters.. Detroit is weak, especially on the 1st day of a series. I will hit this..

I'm going with Tigers. Sheffield is on fire the last few games. Magglio Ordonez and Miguel Cabrebra will have at least 1-2 hits. Plus Granderson who is hitting .455 the last 7 days. Tigers all the way! Runline!

Phillies play well for Kendrick and love to score the junkballer tons of runs. Second time in a week Phillies get to see the "Mad dog" as well after he dominated them in PetCo last week.....

Not too sure about that Dodgers play, but BOL....

Nobody is due for nothing. The team that scores more runs wins. These Phillies aren't what we all thought they were. If I were to pick a side between these 2, Dodgers will be it.
