I went 2-0 +2.45 units yesterday.
Royals -111
Pros: Gil Meche's road ERA is better than his home ERA. His ERA versus the Indians this year is deceptively bad. He had one start back in April where he yielded 8 er over 3.1 innings. However, he has pitched well in his other two starts against them this season. He is opposing Zach Jackson, who shouldn't even be in the Major leagues. The Royals kill southpaws and should come away with this contest tonight.
Cons: The Royals suck.
Orioles +123
Pros: Chris Waters has had 2 good starts out of three since joining the O's rotation. Those two starts came against the Tigers and the Angels, two clubs that hit lefties well. This tells me the Waters is better than his ERA may indicate. His 4.32 ERA came as a result of a game versus the Rangers. Unfortunately, it was only against the Angels that he was able to last more than 5 innings. Luckily, he will be opposing Clay Buchholz in tonight's game. Buchholz has an 8.18 ERA away from Fenway this year. Although he no-hit the O's at the end of last year, he has a 7.20 ERA versus them this season. I think it is worthwhile to take our chances against the atrocious Buchholz on the road in this contest.
Cons: The Red Sox have a good offense.
