Contrarian Look

Everybody wakes up today, recovering from the exhaustive NYY fiasco. Those of us in South Florida are preparing for Fay. Beyond the preparation for a potential natural disaster, let's take a look at the early contrare plays. On the radar screen, ARI/HOU looks interesting. Johnson after his last start is getting attention! You will potentially be able to go against the Randy and get a small price.

NYM/PIT Watch out. Mets on a streak to the win side, PIT starts the streak on the lose side. Santana always gets money, in addition to the NY metro money. All trends point in the direction of NYM. I will be watching this one closely to see a trigger pull on the PIT.

That's what I am looking at.

THe line move alone is not the only formula. The starting point criteria is, "what would you make the line out if you were the oddsmaker." Based on what I can see, the line is probably where it should be. A line move alone does not necessarily make it a play. I will continue to watch. I will mark it and let you know as the day progresses.
