Who wants a tiny, cute little doggy? Give me a real, big dog.

    KC +171

Short write-up. Hochevar sports an ugly 5.54 ERA but his FIP is 4.43. His xFIP is 4.79, suggesting that inflated ERA should drop closer to his FIP. KC is MUCH better versus lefties .763 vs. .681

Cons: Hochevar is legitimately worse on the road (.300 BAbip). CWS offense loves hitting at home. Buehrle is much better at home but his BAbip there is .250 so he cannot keep it up.

GL to anyone who follows or is already on KC. I hope some people followed the SD home under chase yesterday and made some $$$!

    Padres +190
Best huge dog of the day. They are at home and Banks is a good home pitcher.

I'm on MIL RL. I also think SD TT u 3 is an amazingly good bet.

Sabathia is pitching amazing right now and the Padres, already an awful offensive team, struggle against lefties.

Banks has a nice 3.77 ERA overall, and as you mentioned is stellar at home with a 2.30 ERA vs. 4.63 on the road. Anyone with a brain can figure out why Banks is better at home - it's the park. Sabathia, who is a million times better than Banks, will enjoy the same advantage pitching in Petco, although Banks IS more of a fly ball pitcher so Petco would help him a little more.

In addition, his FIP is 4.58 and xFIP is 4.90, suggesting his ERA will rise towards the FIP as the year goes on. Sabathia has an amazing 2.53 FIP and 3.07 xFIP. I see absolutely zero value in the Padres tonight.

I am not worried at all pat. The Dunn acquisition sealed the deal, IMO. The Duds would have been better off getting Brian Giles over Manny Ramirez. Not even counting defense Giles has been better this year. Can you say overrated ManRam? Did you see those projected OPS and ISO stats I posted for Dunn and Ramirez?
