Orioles -110
Pros: Jeremy Guthrie is the Orioles' best starter. He is 5-4 with a 3.06 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP in road starts this year. He will be opposing Anthony Reyes, who just came over to the Indians from the Cards. This guy is a gas can. He had a good first start against the Blue Jays because they have no offense and suck against lefties. The Orioles feast on lefties, batting .277 as a team versus them. If guthrie was able to shut down the Ranger's offense last week, I think he should have no problem with the Indians.

You're right. I'm sorry for that blurb about lefties, Reyes isn't one. But he still sucks and the orioles are still the play. Besides Peralta, Ben Francisco, and Asdrubal Cabrera recently, the Indians have no offense.

one con is how bad balti is on the road and clevbe is pretty decent at home. more people need to bet cleve here fifa. u know.

Reyes, a gas can? He may be far from a Cy Young candidate but he's certainly not a gas can. Plus the Tribe are very solid at home. You may like the fact that Guthrie is taking the mound for the O's but you know what is called the O's bullpen! I wouldn't take the O's in this situation. I think the Guthrie/Reyes match-up gives the O's not more than a one-run advantage which the O's bullpen will be too glad to blow away!

it aint like guthrie is halladay or somehting, he is better than reyes, but balti is bad on the road. i went to all 3 games in tor vs balti and balti blew 2 of them. they have no pen at all. he is basically going against reyes, which may not be the worst idea.
i dont think its a bad bet at all.

Well, I wish him luck. But the point some of us have made is that the O's don't have what may be called a clear-cut advantage here.

The bullpen rankings isn't as important as the home-road dichotomy of the bullpen performance! I'd still take the Indians' bullpen at home over the O's bullpen on the road.
