I went 0-1 -1.00 Units yesterday.
Marlins -114
Pros: Volstad has been a stud since coming to the major leagues. While Kyle Lohse is a stud at home, he is anything but that on the road. The Marlins will be looking to rebound in a big way after last night's loss. Take tthe better bullpen and the better starter at home in this one.
Cons: Volstad is 0-2 in his two home starts this season.
Nationals +183
Pros: The Nationals have become a new team since dropping Lo Duca and getting back some of their guys from the DL. Guys like Lastings milledge and Ryan Zimmerman are making an impact. The Nats were playing well until they came to Milwaukee, where they got swept in 4 games. Now, they will be playing at home against a struggling Mets bullpen. While Johan Santana has been a stud, his road numbers are slightly worse than his home numbers and the Mets are 25-32 on the road. Also, Odalis Perez will be trying to win his third straight start. The left-hander has posted a 2.03 ERA in his last two outings, allowing two runs and six hits in six innings of a 6-3 victory Thursday as Washington completed a doubleheader sweep at Colorado. Perez is 1-1 with a 4.38 ERA in two starts versus New York this year. At home this year, Perez is 1-4 but has a 2.26 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and a .232 BAA. That seems like great value at +183.
Cons: They are facing Johan Santana.
